40 years ago Sol Fingerhut established Century Plastics. He built a highly respected compression molding and lamination manufacturing company. Among other breakthrough achievements in the field, Charles Eames, the legendary American designer, selected Sol to manufacture the iconic molded fiberglass chair now on display in the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC. The company's critical thinking and creativity were the building blocks in the development of the first blast resistant airline cargo container. Today the HULD (Hardened Unit Load Device) is the first blast resistant cargo container to receive a TSO (Technical Standard Order) and recommendation by the 9/11 Commission Report.

Our reputation for integrity, quality workmanship and innovation carries on with the introduction of International Composites Technologies (ICT). We continue to develop and manufacture a variety of materials and products for the aerospace, security and defense, medical, and industrial fields.

Sol's pioneering spirit and problem solving in the composites industry has been followed by a new generation that manages ICT from our Compton, CA location.
